Geneva, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and international diplomacy, holds a distinguished status in the world of horology.
Nestled along the shores of Lake Geneva, this Swiss city is a horological hub with a rich history dating back centuries. Its watchmaking legacy, dating to the 16th century, saw craftsmen like John Calvin shape the city's identity. In 1886, the prestigious Geneva Seal established stringent standards for precision, becoming an engraved symbol of excellence on timepieces. Throughout the 20th century, Geneva's watchmaking prowess thrived, featuring iconic brands such as Patek Philippe and Rolex.
Today, the city remains a global hub for luxury timepieces, with events like the Watches and Wonders showcasing the latest innovations from Geneva's esteemed watchmakers.

At the heart of the "world's smallest metropolis" stands the iconic "Jet d'eau" – a fountain boasting a 140-meter-high water jet on the outskirts of Lake Geneva.
The right-hand shore hosts numerous large hotels and restaurants, while the left-hand shore is dominated by the old town, the city's core featuring the main shopping and business district. St. Peter's Cathedral presides over the old town, with the focal point being the Place du Bourg-de-Four, the city's oldest square. Quays, lakeside promenades, numerous parks, bustling narrow streets in the old town, and chic shops invite visitors to enjoy a tranquil exploration.
The Grand-Rue, where Jean-Jacques Rousseau was born, stands out as one of the most maintained streets. "Mouettes," a water taxi variant, facilitate crossings between lakeshores, and larger vessels are an invitations for scenic cruises on Lake Geneva.
